Hi everyone.
I know its been a long while since I've posted anything.
Well here we go, I'm currently working in collaboration with my friend Jesse to put out a Tribute Sketchbook on classic Monsters, Ghouls, and Ghosts. We'll have it out on the week before Halloween over at Samurai Comics in Phoenix AZ. So, if you are in the Neighborhood stop by. here is a preview picture of Dracula, hope you like it... ...Oh, I almost forgot, I'm on Deviant art now so feel free to see some of my work.
Later,
Vic.

Free Comic Book Day! part 2 The Merger
Free Comic Book Day!

Hi everyone, I know its been about 2 months since I posted anything. Lot of stuff happening, good and bad… Anyways that’s not important right now.
So last Saturday was Free Comic Book Day and I presented a preview of my comic book called CALACA over at Samurai Comics in Phoenix. The day didn’t go to bad I sold a few books plus gave away a few, I also did some sketches for the kids (all ages). I also hung out with some friends, Jesse, Cindy and Brian. Jesse as always, is on the ball and has all of his books on display and recruiting new members to his company.
It was a surprise to see Brian though I haven’t seen him in almost 2 months, Its been hard for both of us to hang out lately. I took some pictures with Porkins and Quai-gon from Star Wars. Towards the end of the day Brian and I merged our company with Jesse and I am now proud to say that we are now the all new BANDIDO STUDIOS. It will be great because the company will be diverse in genres. So that’s it for now, I’ll upload images of Calaca on another day. Issue 1 will come out sometime in June, so if you are in a comic book shop in Phoenix Az, look for it ant tell me what you think.

Color Sketch Cards

So, here are the same sketch card (now in color). Also I did the next 2 cards from a sketch Jam on Scoundrel as practice. The theme was mermaids or Bahamas something like that here is the link. Any how I decided to do a Mermaid and for the other one I did a Merman battling a giant Octopus It’s fun trying to draw so much detail in such a little space. For my colors I used chalk and markers I like to combine different medias.
That’s it for now.

Hello everyone,
just letting you know that this past weekend was the Phoenix Comic Con and it was a lot of fun I got a full pass which was Friday-Sunday with a Preview night on Thursday. I only made it up to Saturday. Still, it was cool. I got to meet two of my favorite Artists, Sean "Cheeks" Galloway and Jo-Chen. The both of them are just amazing and very easy to talk too, almost like talking with your Best Friend. Both with unique styles but great at how they do it. I also met other Local Artists and Non local artists that were also fun to talk to like Daniel Davis from Steam Crow Press, Tony Parker, Spencer Brinkerhoff and Dane Ault just to name a few. Look them up if you get the chance.
Anyhow, I'll talk some more on the Con later and who knows you may be in for a little treat.

Here we go.
All right, let us begin.
This week will be a fun week. The Phoenix comic con will be from the 23rd - 25th and a preview night on Thursday, I' can't wait to go. I'm eager to meet Jo-Chen and Sean "Cheeks" Galloway. Most of the forums are insightful and fun.
For the most part, being there really inspires me to continue drawing. This year I plan to get my act together and get a book published. Brian (my friend) and I have been working on our book for a long time now, it always seems to be a roller coaster ride, which is expected. I can't speak for Brian but at the moment, I'm in Limbo. I have to get my butt into gear. He probably hates me for not getting anything done.
Anyhow, this year I'll force myself to get it done (if you're reading this Brian, I won't let you down).
That’s about it for now; I'll see what else I come up with next time (it will get better I promise).
